CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Colorado National Guard Soldiers and Airmen will participate in the state's annual Best Warrior Competition at Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado, April 21-24, 2022.
Competitors will navigate a battery of exercises, testing their physical and mental prowess.
“The finest, most highly qualified, and capable people are part of our Colorado National Guard,” The Adjutant General of Colorado U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Laura Clellan said. “We meet and even exceed readiness requirements so that we are always ready, always there to answer the call of our community, state and nation.”
The top-tier competitors from each service branch of the CONG will earn the title of Colorado Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year or Airman/ Soldier of the Year, for their respective branch.
The winning Army National Guard competitors will move on to compete against the best of Region 7 in the regional BWC that Guam will host in May 2022. The Air National Guard does not have a follow-on competition.
This is the fifth year for joint service competitions.
