Employment Support Program
The Colorado National Guard Employment Program prepares and connects service members with education and career readiness services, in an effort to enhance readiness and boost resilience. The mission is to maintain a ready and resilient force capable of accomplishing State and Federal missions by connecting ARNG Soldiers, Dependents, Veterans and Retirees with financial and career education plus employment opportunities throughout the Soldier's Life Cycle.
I am the CONG Employment Specialist and I work in the Family Programs Office in Centennial, next to JFHQ. As a retired Navy Chief, I'm no stranger to the military way of life. While on active duty, I did a tour as a Command Career Counselor. I learned a lot of valuable tools that I can use to assist veterans in finding meaningful employment and education opportunities.
I conduct virtual trainings using the Department of Labor's website, O*NET Online (https://www.onetonline.org/ ) to assist you in resume writing, job searching, salary negotiations and translating military skills into civilian. Contact me and let me know when you can schedule a call, I work around your schedule. All you will need is a phone and a computer with internet access.
My contact information is included below. I am happy to brief any unit or group that would like to hear more about my services. I can also conduct resume writing and job searching classes. I am also happy to meet one on one with Service Members and their families assisting in finding them a career that they love!
