CENTENNIAL, CO –
CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Colorado Gov. Jared Polis and First Gentleman Marlon Reis will host an Easter Egg Roll at the Boettcher Mansion for families of deployed service members April 17, 2019.
The festivities, also hosted by the Easter Bunny and the Adjutant General of Colorado U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Mike Loh, will occur from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Boettcher Mansion, 400 E. 8th Ave., Denver.
“Supporting our Colorado National Guard families is the key to our readiness and resilience.” Loh said. “This is a great way to give back to our families who have sacrificed so that our members could serve our communities, state and nation.”
As part of the event, children will form bunny battalions based on age, and in addition to the egg roll, activities will include crafts, games, an Easter egg hunt, and story time.
Each year Colorado National Guard families experience separation while their service members are called to support domestic or overseas contingency operations.
