The Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado and the Western Slope Vietnam War Memorial Park will present the annual Veterans Day Ceremony.
On Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 11:11 a.m., Veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States will be honored at a ceremony at the Western Slope Vietnam War Memorial Park. The Park is located at the Colorado Welcome Center in Fruita, CO, just off Interstate 70 at the Fruita exit.
The ceremony will feature performances by Sherry Verdiect, Blue Star Mother and Patriot Guard Rider, local band ECHO; the Walker children will lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Sean Taylor & the Glenfinnan Highlanders. The keynote speech will be given by CSM Bill Woods, Command Senior Enlisted Leader to the Adjutant General of Colorado. Betty’s Doves will provide a dove release and Reverend John Foreman, USMC Navy Chaplain, will deliver the invocation and benediction.
The ceremony is open to the public. Parking is available at the Park and attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating to this event, which is expected to last an hour.
