DENVER – U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Michael A. Loh, Air National Guard director, will bid farewell to his distinguished career of over 40 years at Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, Denver, June 9, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
Loh's illustrious career spans decades, beginning with his graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in 1984. After serving seven years on Active Duty as an F-16 instructor pilot, he transitioned to the Colorado Air National Guard in 1991. Throughout his tenure with the COANG, he held various command, staff and supervisory positions, to include group commander, Air Force assistant to the commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command, and assistant adjutant general of Colorado for air and space. Prior to his current position, Loh served as adjutant general of the Colorado National Guard.
Loh deployed multiple times to both the Pacific and Central Command regions and commanded combat operations during operations Iraqi Freedom and Provide Comfort II.
As Air National Guard director, Loh is responsible to formulate, develop and coordinate all policies, plans and programs affecting 108,400 ANG Airmen and civilians across 90 wings and 180 installations in 159 communities throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.
