CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Gov. Jared Polis and The Assistant Adjutant General, Air U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Shawn Ryan will host families of deployed Colorado National Guard members and Gold Star Families in separate events Dec. 17, 2022, at the Boettcher Mansion in Denver.
Approximately 50 CONG members are mobilized supporting operations overseas and will spend the holidays away from their families.
“Our Colorado National Guard members are actively deploying around the world,” The Adjutant General of Colorado Brig. Gen. Laura Clellan said. “The support of our National Guard families ensures a high level of readiness to do our federal missions.”
CONG senior leaders will attend and visit with families while children enjoy crafts and sweets provided by the CONG Family Programs staff. A visit from Santa Claus arriving in a military vehicle and a storybook reading by the Governor will be highlights at the events.
These events are not open to the public.
