169th Field Artillery Brigade

The Field Artillery units are the oldest of the Colorado Army National Guard. These elements, known as the "King of Battle", bring a lethal arsenal to the battlefield. The mission of the 169th FA Brigade is to command and control one-to-five General Support or General Support Reinforcing FA Battalions and/or a Target Acquisition Battery. The 169th is headquartered at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, CO. To contact the unit, dial 720-250-1800.

“I was very excited to see the brigade command post and staff in action,” 169th FAB Commander U.S. Army Col. William DiProfio said. “This annual training was designed to get after our core field artillery tasks and prepare for our mobilization validation exercise in January, and we are doing just that.”

Colorado field artillery battalion returns from Middle East deployment

The Colorado National Guard will welcome home around 300 Soldiers of the 3rd Battalion, 157th Field Artillery Regiment Oct. 9, 2022 at the Evie Garret Dennis Campus high school in Aurora, Colorado.
