Members of the Colorado National Guard and Black Forest Fire Rescue set up a incident command post for a winter training event. The Colorado National Guard, U.S. Army and various local agencies in a blizzard emergency response exercise on January 8 and 9, 2016. Guardsmen assisted El Paso County officials rescue simulated stranded motorists and transport them to local hospital and a Red Cross shelter. The exercise involved 29 different agencies and nearly 900 participants in the area of San Luis Valley, the City of Evans, and El Paso County. Produced by Sgt. Richard K.
