Procession to Graveside Service at Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, Colo. Colorado resident and Medal of Honor recipient George Sakato was interred at Denver's Fairmount Cemetery on January 16, 2016 with full military honors. He was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2000 for his actions in France in 1944.
Among the attendants were his daughter, family, friends, Colorado's Adjutant General,Major General H. Michael Edwards and 4 Medal of Honor recipients who reside in Colorado.
