CENTENNIAL, Colo. –
The Colorado National Guard will host a media round table May 16, 2025, at 1 p.m. MST, where leaders from the Colorado Army National Guard’s 169th Field Artillery Brigade will talk about their recent deployment to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
The 169th FAB deployed to the USCENTCOM area of responsibility as part of Task Force Spartan in support of Operation Spartan Shield. The unit returned home this year.
OSS supports USCENTCOM’s strategic objectives to deter threats, protect U.S. interests, defend regional stability, and maintain readiness, while simultaneously strengthening partnerships and building partner capacity across the Middle East.
U.S. Army Central commands OSS, which includes units from all service branches. Task Force Spartan is the U.S. Army component of OSS.
The 169th FAB sustained and protected Combined Land Component Forces, built partner nation capacity, deterred Iranian aggression in the USCENTCOM area of operations, and provided artillery support to the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.
