CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Senior Enlisted Leader for the Director of Joint Staff U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Patrick Uschuk, Colorado National Guard, will retire at a ceremony honoring his 32 years of military service to community, state, and nation at the Army Aviation Support Facility, Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado, June 1, 2024.
As the SEL, Uschuk served as an advisor to the director of joint staff and as the Joint Task Force-Centennial command sergeant major, providing key support during the state’s response to the COVID 19 pandemic.
“With over 32 years of dedicated service to our state and nation culminating as the CSM of our joint staff and JTF [Joint Task Force- Centennial} during one of the most challenging times in the history of the CONG, pandemic response, wildfires and civil disturbance response he has made a lasting impact on the organization, making it better for the future,” the Adjutant General of Colorado U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Laura Clellan said. “His leadership and friendship will be missed by many. I wish him and his family the best in their next chapter of life.”
Uschuk is a native of Denver, Colorado. He entered the Active Army in September 1992 in the transportation field. After six of years of service and multiple deployments, Uschuk left Active Duty to join the Colorado Army National Guard, where he has served as an Active Guard and Reserve Guardsman.
Uschuk has served in nearly every key enlisted leadership position from team leader to command sergeant major. His previous assignments include: brigade command sergeant major, 89th Troop Command; command sergeant major, 117th Space Battalion; directorate of logistics sergeant major; first sergeant, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 135th General Support Aviation; senior supply sergeant, 89th Troop Command, first sergeant, forward support Company E, 2-135th GSAB; and, battalion supply sergeant, 2-135th GSAB.
