Mesa County, Colo. – Operation Uplift is the partnership between community entities to distribute coats, clothes, hygiene items and a few other personal necessities to veterans and their family members. This is a one day event, occurring outside, at the Western Region One Source 482 28 Road, Grand Junction, Colorado, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020.
There will be men’s and women’s clothing, clean and gently used, in all sizes, along with coats. There is no charge and this is a distribution only event, no donations will be accepted onsite.
“Here at the Western Region One Source we have the perfect venue and location for this community outreach event,” Heather Benjamin, property administration said. “Along with our community partnerships we are grateful to serve the veterans and their families in a variety of ways.”
All items being distributed at this event come from the American Legion Post 37, VFW Post 3981 and First Christian Church (Grand Junction), with the WROS hosting.
COVID-19 Note: Social distancing, masks and no hand shaking will be practiced during all events at the WROS.
