CENTENNIAL, Colo. – By order of Gov. Jared Polis, Colorado National Guard Airmen are assisting the State Emergency Operations Center with unloading, packaging and distributing personal protective equipment to community organizations designated by the state.

After unloading semi-trucks full of PPE at the state’s warehouse, Task Force Warehouse Support guardsmen packaged the items to fill orders received by the state EOC.

“The state needed help with the unloading and delivering to community centers, food pantries and homeless centers, some as far as Pueblo,” U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Scottlyn Kibbey, task force commander, said.

About 120 Colorado National Guard members are on duty in the war against COVID-19.

CONG members receive daily medical screening and are on Title 32 federally funded orders under state control.

We continue to protect our force and families and all Americans, maintain our readiness, and support our local, state and federal partners to stop the spread of COVID-19 and save lives.
