The mission of the Family Readiness Program is to support families and units before, during and after a deployment. Missions for the National Guard have increased dramatically since the Global War on Terrorism. It is critical that EVERY unit has an active Family Readiness Program established BEFORE deployment.

Charlene Shields is the State Family Readiness Program Director. She oversees the program as a whole and can facilitate or direct any concerns to the appropriate staff member. The Changing Face of the Family Program Office

We are located just west of JFHQ on Briarwood Avenue at 12200 East Briarwood Ave., Suite 160, Centennial, CO 80112.

Part of an initiative from DoD, we now have a program called the Joint Force Support Assistance Program (JFSAP) team. The JFSAP team consists of: a Military Family Life Consultant (adult); a Military Family Life Consultant (youth-parenting); a JFSAP Military OneSource consultant; a Red Cross representative; and an Operation: Military Kids Youth Program Specialist.
