Belizean upbringing shaped 100th Missile Defense Brigade Soldier’s life

Army Sgt. 1st Class Denise Ronneburg, the supply sergeant for the 100th Missile Defense Brigade, hails from Orange Walk and said her upbringing there provided the springboard to experiences that shaped her Army career and life.

The 100th Missile Defense Brigade (Ground-based Midcourse Defense) hosted a mobile training team from the Defense Nuclear Weapons School to teach Soldiers the basics of nuclear weapons to Soldiers from the 100th Missile Defense Brigade and Colorado Army National Guard at the brigade’s headquarters Sept. 14-17. Four instructors traveled to Colorado Springs to lead the Nuclear Weapons Orientation Course – an overview of the history and development of nuclear weapons, management of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, and the issues and challenges facing the program. The 100th Missile Defense Brigade (Ground-based Midcourse Defense) hosted a mobile training team from the Defense Nuclear Weapons School to teach Soldiers the basics of nuclear weapons at the brigade’s headquarters Sep. 14-17.

It is every Airman’s responsibility to perform regular exercise routines in order to stay ‘fit to fight.’ Few have experienced a workout like U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Ronald Ebert, first sergeant, 140th Mission Support Group, 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard, did June 1, 2020.

Colorado Hoist Rescue team, Colorado National Guard partner to save lives in high country

The Colorado Hoist Rescue Team and Colorado National Guard partnered to change the way that the military performs hoist rescues. This innovation shortens the time required for a helicopter to hover above a scene, increasing victims’ chances for survival.

Colorado National Guard continues to support wildfire response in Colorado

Under Gov. Jared Polis’ Executive Order, the Colorado National Guard continues to support the Rocky Mountain Area Coordination Center, State Emergency Operations Center, and incident commanders for wildfire response in Colorado.
