Colorado field artillery unit welcomes first female senior enlisted leader

One of the Colorado Army National Guard’s most distinguished units made history again during a Jan. 4 change-of-responsibility ceremony as it welcomed a new senior enlisted leader.

Rebecca Toland, a non-destructive inspection technician from the 140th Maintenance Squadron, Colorado Air National Guard, located at Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colorado, performs an inspection of the 446 bulkhead on a block-30 F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft Sept. 12, 2019. The Colorado Air National Guard’s 140th Wing Aircraft Structural Maintenance and Non-Destructive Inspection section made a significant finding on the F-16C Fighting Falcon aircraft, which has led to a fleet-wide investigation into the matter.
