The saying “brother and sister in arms” is a common phrase that has been used as a term of endearment in the military, signifying the close bond shared between service members.

Colorado National Guard conducting annual active threat exercise

The Colorado National Guard will host an active threat response exercise for full-time staff at the Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs campus, 6848 S. Revere Parkway, Centennial, Colorado, in November.

Colorado National Guard welcomes new, honors retiring command senior enlisted leader

The Colorado National Guard will bid farewell to the 4th Command Senior Enlisted Leader U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Lisa Perry during a change of responsibility ceremony Nov. 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Joint Force Headquarters, 6848 South Revere Parkway, Centennial, Colorado, followed by a retirement ceremony at 2 p.m. at Buckley Space Force Base, Aurora, Colorado.

The Adjutant General of Colorado U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Laura Clellan is retiring after more than three decades of military service Oct. 18, 2025, in Centennial, Colorado. Clellan has served as adjutant general since 2020.  Clellan will relinquish command to U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Robert Davis.
