Gypsum, CO - From top, A Colorado Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook, UH-60 Black hawk, and LUH-72 Lakota hover in formation over snow covered Colorado Rocky Mountains, Jan. 18, 2017 These airframes are in use by the High Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site, Gypsum, Colorado and the Army Aviation Support Facility, Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colorado to train rotary wing pilots from around the world about power management at high altitude, and to support the community, state and nation with heavy lift, medical evacuation and search and rescue operation capabilities, to name a few.
