Denver, Colorado - Gov. Jared Polis (center) and U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Commanding General and 54th U.S. Army Chief of Engineers, visit The Ranch Events Complex, Loveland, Colo., April 14, 2020. The Ranch was identified by the state of Colorado for USACE to convert for use as a medical shelter during the COVID-19 response. The Colorado National Guard transported Semonite and his team via UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colo. to The Ranch and then the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, where Colorado Guardsmen are helping to prep the location as another medical shelter. More than 250 members of the CONG are supporting state and local officials combat COVID-19 state wide at joint operations center and preparing shelters for those without homes in the Denver area.
