Colorado National Guard Soldiers with the 947th Engineer Company, rebuild Highway 36 west of Lyons, Colo. September 27, 2013. The Colorado National Guard is supporting the Colorado Department of Transportation to make a passable causeway between Lyons and Estes Park that will sustain the communities through to spring when weather will allow civil contractors to fully rebuild the highway to standards. Heavy rains and flash floods destroyed roughly 40% of the highway earlier in the month closing the highway to all vehicle traffic. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Wolfram M.
