BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. (1/17/13) – The commander of the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard Brig. Gen. Trulan Eyre, has been selected to become the Air National Guard Advisor to 1st Air Force, effective April 7, and will concurrently be promoted to major general.

The Adjutant General of the Colorado National Guard, Maj. Gen. H. Michael Edwards, commended Eyre’s work as the 140th Wing commander saying, “Gen. Eyre has done a phenomenal job of leading the 140th Wing to new levels of performance excellence during very challenging times with numerous inspections, exercises, and deployments, and is so deserving of this promotion and continued service.”

With Eyre’s departure, Edwards has selected Col. Floyd Dunstan, vice commander, 140 Wing, to be the new wing commander.

“I have full confidence in Col. Dunstan as he takes the reins that he will lead the Wing to outstanding achievements in the future,” said Edwards.
