The 3650th Maintenance Company, located at Longmont, Colorado and with a Detachment in Durango, is a non-divisional maintenance company. This means the 3650th works on numerous types of equipment including tanks, howitzers, trucks, weapons and even computers and radio-telecommunications systems. They also operate a repair part section (Class IX) and even do canvas and leather repair.

Typically, the 3650th is the combat support maintenance source for the Colorado Army National Guard. Without them, the organization would grind to a halt and not be able to accomplish their mission.

A majority of the soldiers in the unit are mechanics, extensively trained by the U.S. Army to be top-notch repairmen with no equal, but there is also a large cross section of college students, truck drivers, and computer repair specialists. Most of the job specialties at the 3650th are eligible for enlistment bonuses up to $20,000.
