
The 928th Area Support Medical Company (ASMC) is a medical unit trained to provide corps-level medical area support. The 928th ASMC is located in both Denver, CO and Montrose, CO. Its mission is to provide emergency medical treatment, sick call, and ground ambulance evacuation of troops.
The Unit consists of a variety of doctors, registered nurses, physician assistants, medics (EMTs) as well a mix of cooks, mechanics and radio operators. The citizen soldiers of the 928th ASMC come from all walks of life; including medical professionals, professional educators, police officers, construction workers and college students.
The 928th ASMC has maintained the highest standards of readiness and professional training over the last several years as evidenced by its successful ratings from numerous external evaluations. The 928TH ASMC deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and returned to their home station in Montrose, CO in early 2004.
